FUKT is wholly dedicated to contemporary drawing and illustration. Established in Trondheim, Norway 1999 and based in Berlin, Germany since 2001. Bjørn Hegardt is the editor and Ariane Spanier is doing the design. The editorial team is small, engaged, and changing for each issue. FUKT is published annually. FUKT translates as “moist” or “damp” in Scandinavian languages.
FUKTalways presents a delightful variety of images along a theme, but the latest one, Faces, is particularly specific and powerful. Flicking through the new issue is a reminder of our busy pre-Covid lives: its pages are crowded with faces, eyes stare out at us, look upwards, sideways… and are rendered using pencil, paint, card, and even on pottery.
